What's New for 2022
Jeep updated the Compass inside and out for the 2022 model year. Outside, the SUV sports a revised, more upscale front end with a modernized signature Jeep grille. Inside, the Compass sports a new dashboard design with a tablet-like touchscreen infotainment system to compete with other vehicles in its class.
Models and Pricing
While the trim level lineup for the 2022 Compass has not yet been released, Jeep always provides a plethora of configurations to meet the needs and budgets of all drivers. The 2022 Compass will most likely start around $27,000 and be offered in similar model configurations as 2021, such as: Sport, North, Upland, Trailhawk, Altitude, Limited, and Trailhawk Elite.
The Trailhawk model is the best bet for drivers who want to get off the beaten path. It comes equipped with an off-road suspension, as well as the Jeep Active Drive Low 4x4 system with enhanced Selec-Terrain Traction Management System.
Performance
Every Compass is powered by a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with Stop/Start technology, and drivers can choose from front-wheel or all-wheel drive on the vehicle. The engine delivers 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque to allow the Compass to tow up to 907kg.
Interior
The redesigned interior of the 2022 Jeep Compass elevates the crossover to a whole new level. The cabin now features a bold, modern look highlighted by an all-new instrument panel and touchscreen infotainment system. New door trim and bezels enhance the look, as well as new textured fabrics and slim air conditioning vents.
Technology
Jeep offers over 35 available technology features on the 2022 Compass with many coming standard. Each model will run the latest Uconnect 5 software with a slick tablet-like touchscreen. Lower models will feature an 8.4-inch touchscreen while a larger 10.1-inch unit is available as an upgrade. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as navigation and natural voice recognition are also technology offerings on the Compass.
