The base model Charger SXT, SXT AWD, GT, and GT AWD are powered by a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine that produces up to 300 horsepower. The R/T models come with a 370-horsepower 5.7-litre Hemi V8 engine, while the Scat Pack 392 models have a naturally aspirated 485-horsepower 6.4-litre Hemi V8 engine, which is best-in-class. For those who want even more power, the Charger SRT Hellcat has a 717-horsepower 6.2-litre supercharged Hemi V8 engine, while the SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak has an 807-horsepower supercharged 6.2-litre Hemi high-output V8 engine.
All Charger models come with the innovative TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission as standard. In addition, the Charger offers a range of personalization options, including widebody, Daytona, stripe, and graphics packages for those who want to create a unique muscle car.
What’s new in 2023
For 2023, the Charger introduces Jailbreak models, which unlock full access to Dodge personalization options for the SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye models. The Charger also offers 14 exterior color options, including the return of heritage colors like Destroyer Grey, Plum Crazy, and B5 Blue.
Practicality & Comfort
Despite its age, the Charger remains a comfortable and refined daily driver that can carry four or five adults in comfort. It also comes equipped with user-friendly Uconnect infotainment, a full safety suite, and all the luxury trappings. Two AWD models (V6 only) provide all-weather capability, and the sedan has a trunk space of 467L that can be expanded by folding down the rear seats.
